Saturday, May 14th, 2011 from 5pm to 7pm, members and NSM supporters went to downtown Milwaukee’s US Cellular Arena to protest the Brew City Bruisers roller derby league. We distributed fliers to patrons outside of the bout and used our bullhorn to express our disgust with the league for using the hammer and sickle as a team logo as well as the use of the actual flag by its supporters at a bout in January.

The rain apparently deterred the ARA and communists as we went unopposed with the exception of one man who stated he supported communism (see picture below). The pouring rain did not deter us however as we did what we set out to do. Afterwards, members went to a private location for drinks and a BBQ. Thanks to all who showed dedication by attending and be sure to check out our next events in Wisconsin on the calendar.
