Town Hall Meeting in Arizona

While many of the Midwest and East-coast NSM members and supporters were helping bring attention to economic policies of immigration, farms, health care etc., the Arizona units of NSM had our own 'social Town Hall' in a good, Southwest AMERICAN BBQ! Approximately 25 members, supporters and interested like-minded folk converged on Phoenix's scenic Papago Park to enjoy a cookout and potluck.

One 'challenge' we had to face were self-possessed yuppies, and cranky, likely-jews who insisted on taking our parking spaces. At least, TRYING to do so, thanks to Jimbo and the rest of our parking lot 'volunteers' who forcefully, yet tactfully worked with these instances!

By the way, the oversight by the park staff in mapping out our parking spaces was ironically enough eased over by Steve, a Hispanic park ranger, and two local police. When told it was an "Odinist gathering" (at least somewhat correct), one of the two White officers knowingly smiled. Must be the haircuts...

The BBQ was a great way to formally introduce Arizona's NSM units to Arizona! Besides Jimbo (late of NSM Southern Cal) also performing as enthusiastic grill-master extraordinaire, we also had Hans Heider, Phoenix Unit supporter, speaking on a variety of local and national political topics; holocaust revisionist, Fritz Berg, explaining the impact of this jewish lie; singer-guitarist, Noble Son, performing his racial aware folk music; and a free prize raffle, comedically conducted by Shawn Hughes, who coordinated and MC'ed the event. We even had one of Rockwell's stormtroopers in attendance!

Also joining us was Davy and his wife, who are starting an NSM unit in Colorado. Being that this is the Veterans Day weekend, the presence of this young American vet gave understated poignancy to the proceedings. While we do not necessarily approve of WHY America has been meddling in various world wars, we DO however, appreciate the sacrifices made by these men and women. And, now that many more ex-military are becoming racially aware, our movement is becoming even more enriched by their talents and training.

Several new NSM member applications went out, and interviews with in-progress members were also conducted on the spot. Another bright point was the better-late-than-never arrival of Joe from Southern Arizona who had brought with him another new probate! (Glad you're feeling better, Joe!)

Next time, we will look forward to working with NSM-Las Vegas, or maybe a book burning warming up things With NSM-Colorado.

Thanks to all who contributed food and/or their time to making NSM-Arizona's first BBQ a success!
